Zendaya has sparked fresh speculation about her relationship with Tom Holland after appearing to wear a gold wedding band in new promotional photos for her upcoming film The Drama.
The 29-year-old actress, whose engagement to the British star was confirmed last January, posed alongside co-star Robert Pattinson in a series of images released ahead of the film’s April 3 premiere.
In the photos, the Euphoria actor can be seen wearing her diamond engagement ring as well as what appears to be a simple gold band on the same finger, prompting renewed talk that the couple have already tied the knot.
The sighting follows a similar moment earlier this month, when Zendaya was photographed in Beverly Hills wearing a discreet gold band in place of her usual diamond ring.
The Standard has contacted reps for Zendaya and Tom Holland for comment.
The speculation comes just days after the actress’s longtime stylist Law Roach suggested the pair may already be married.
Speaking during a red carpet interview at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards over the weekend, Roach claimed the couple had quietly said “I do”.
Zendaya and Holland, who first met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight despite years of intense public interest.
In light of Roach’s comments, Zendaya’s mother appeared to respond to reports on social media.
Sharing a clip of the interview on Instagram, Claire Stoermer seemed to poke fun at the revelation, adding a laughing emoji and writing cryptically: “The laugh….”
Zendaya and Holland, who confirmed their relationship in 2021 after years of friendship, have long kept their private life tightly guarded so a low-key ceremony would not be entirely out of character.
In a June 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland, 29, explained why the pair choose to remain discreet.
“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible,” he said. “We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing.”
Roach, 47, has previously hinted that Zendaya would likely be a “secret bride” when the time came.
Speaking to E! News last July, he suggested wedding planning had not yet begun, pointing to her packed filming schedule.
“The process hasn’t even started yet,” he said at the time. “Zendaya is working on so many movies. She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she’s away doing that. It’s so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.”
Even then, however, he made clear he was enthusiastic about their future. “They really love each other and they have for a really long time,” he added. “The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think it’s really beautiful.”
