The British singer has the world's most searched male celebrity hairstyle, generating 211,370 hair-related Google searches, according to a new analysis released by Dr. Cinik Hair Clinic.
Malik finished comfortably ahead of Brad Pitt, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the ranking, which examined searches connected to the hairstyles of 58 actors, musicians and athletes.
The researchers combined queries featuring each celebrity's name with terms such as "haircut," "hairstyle," "hair," "fade haircut," "short hair" and "long hair." Celebrities were then ranked according to their reported global search totals.
Malik recorded more than 40,000 searches above Pitt, the second-place celebrity. His position reflects a career marked by frequent reinvention, from his meticulously styled One Direction quiff to buzz cuts, shaved designs, bleached hair and brightly colored looks.
Unlike stars associated with a single signature haircut, Malik has kept fans guessing. Each major change produces new photographs, social media conversations and, apparently, requests for instructions on how to reproduce it.
Pitt ranked second with 169,930 searches. The actor has accumulated a catalog of recognizable hairstyles across more than three decades, including the shoulder-length hair of Legends of the Fall, his closely cropped Fight Club look and the slicked-back military undercut seen in Fury.
His inclusion near the top also demonstrates how celebrity hairstyle searches are not limited to current trends. Many of Pitt's most requested looks originated years or even decades ago but remain reference points for barbers and clients.
Soccer stars claimed the next three positions.
Messi placed third with 138,510 searches, narrowly defeating longtime rival Ronaldo, who generated 136,940. Only 1,570 searches separated the two players.
Messi's appearance has evolved from the shaggy hair of his early Barcelona career to polished fades, trimmed styles and a memorable platinum-blond transformation. Ronaldo, meanwhile, has become closely associated with sharp fades, sculpted texture and meticulously maintained cuts.
Former England captain David Beckham ranked fifth with 107,320 searches. Beckham has been influencing men's grooming since the 1990s, experimenting with buzz cuts, faux hawks, cornrows, mohawks and slicked-back styles throughout his playing and modeling career.
Drake was the sixth most searched celebrity, with 102,050 queries. His precisely shaped hairlines, fades and waves have become part of his visual identity, while his occasional use of shaved designs has repeatedly generated attention online.
Justin Bieber followed in seventh place with 85,460 searches. The Canadian singer's original side-swept fringe became one of the defining celebrity hairstyles of the early 2010s. He later experimented with platinum hair, buzz cuts, longer styles and dreadlocks.
Chris Hemsworth ranked eighth with 56,160 searches. Interest in the Australian actor ranges from his shorter, textured cuts to the long, rugged hair associated with his portrayal of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Harry Styles finished ninth with 50,650 searches. His naturally wavy hair has remained a recognizable part of his public image since his One Direction years, even as he has moved between longer curls, shorter cuts and closely cropped styles.
Cillian Murphy completed the top 10 with 47,330 searches. The Irish actor's popularity in the ranking is closely connected to Peaky Blinders, which turned Tommy Shelby's severe undercut into one of television's most copied men's hairstyles.
The remaining ranking spans several generations. Elvis Presley placed 11th, followed by LeBron James, George Clooney, Keanu Reeves and Dennis Rodman. Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Neymar Jr., Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson and Travis Scott also appeared inside the top 25.
Latino music stars were positioned farther down the list. Colombian singer Maluma ranked 27th with 11,040 searches, while Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny placed 35th with 7,600. Bruno Mars, who is of Puerto Rican and Filipino descent, finished 40th with 5,070.
The ranking offers a snapshot of online curiosity rather than a definitive measure of cultural influence. Search totals can be affected by new projects, public appearances, viral photographs or sudden hairstyle changes.
The clinic identified Google Trends as the source of the data, although the public version of Google Trends generally displays relative interest scores rather than exact search volumes. The release did not disclose the period studied, when the figures were collected or how the reported totals were calculated from the platform's data.
Still, the results reveal how grooming has become part of celebrity branding. For Malik, Beckham and Styles, a haircut can generate headlines before a new song does. For athletes such as Messi and Ronaldo, the influence extends far beyond the field and directly into barbershops around the world.
