Florida woman accused of fatal hit-and-run takes damaged car to dealership where she works. Her coworker’s suspicions reportedly lead to her arrest

A 21-year-old Florida woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she struck and killed a scooter rider in Dania Beach, fled the scene, and later brought the heavily damaged vehicle to the luxury car dealership where she worked to get a repair estimate.

The suspect, Keila Isabel Maldonado, was taken into custody by Broward County Sheriff’s Office detectives. She faces charges of failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving death and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
