Canvas tote bags are all the rage at the moment, but opting for a designer version could set you back hundreds of pounds. However, savvy shoppers have discovered that fashion retailer Zara is selling a handbag that looks almost identical to designer brand Chloé, but for a fraction of the price.
A fashion lover on TikTok has compared Zara's Canvas Mini City Bag to Chloé's iconic Mini Woody Tote Bag, which costs a whopping £610.
Sharing the look-a-like on TikTok, @fashionfoodtrends called the Zara version a "Chloé dupe". The Zara bag is quite similar to the designer version as it features a square design and linen canvas material with calfskin strips.
However the Echo reports that the Zara bag costs £29.99, meaning you could save £580 if you opted for this version.
The Chloé luxury version is described online as being "crafted from linen canvas detailed with shiny calfskin strips, this mini Woody tote bag is a compact day-to-evening bag with a strong summer attitude. The main compartment fits a mobile phone.
"The bag's sharp, modern lines are emphasised by the contrasting vertical leather strips and the signature Chloé logo ribbon carried over from the Maison's Woody mule. Carry this mini bag in hand."
Both bags feature a similar shape and canvas material, with contrast-coloured details and top handle. They both also feature a detachable and adjustable crossbody shoulder strap, with the biggest difference being that Zara's version doesn't have the signature Chloé logo ribbon.
