Zara and Mike Tindall head home at 2am after royal family dinner at Mayfair club

Zara and Mike Tindall returned home at 2am after having dinner with other members of the Royal Family in Central London yesterday night.

The couple got the party started ahead of today's Coronation and were joined by family members including Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Princess Anne at Mayfair club Oswald's.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also joined the dinner with their husbands and were pictured arriving at the private club, which had a floral arch at the entrance to greet the royals.

As a venue, Oswald's prides itself on its discretion and one of its main rules is that no photography is allowed.

After the dinner, the Tindalls continued their evening at The Arts Club, which is nearby, and left at around 2am, Mail Online reports.

The couple were photographed walking outdoors after leaving the venue with a witness claiming they were "stumbling in the street while taking in all the Coronation bunting before getting into a taxi home."

Zara was wearing a navy blazer and trousers, paired with a light blue shirt, while her husband Mike wore a blue suit with a white shirt.

Prince Andrew was pictured getting out of a taxi, with a black suit paired with a black tie and a white shirt.

His pregnant daughter Eugenie donned a velvet dress as she arrived at the private venue with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie's sister Beatrice wore a key-patterned dress with a black blazer while her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi donned a blue suit, white shirt and light blue tie.

Princess Anne, wearing a black coat, arrived for dinner with her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

Prince Edward was pictured wearing an orange tie while his wife Sophie Wessex donned a purple floral dress with a beige overcoat.

The couple's children, James, Earl of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor, were also seen arriving at the venue for the Coronation dinner.

Royals were also joined by Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who were pictured outside the club.

Oswald's in one of Mayfair's most exclusive private members club. It was established by Robin Birley in 2017 and caters to high-profile clients including celebrities, MPs and members of the Royal Family who are looking for privacy outside of the public eye.

The club, known for its huge wine collection, has no social media accounts and no information on its website, in line with its discretion.

Last year, Prince William was spotted leaving Oswald's after a meal out with some friends.

Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie Johnson are among frequenters of the club on Albemarle Street as is Camilla, Queen Consort.

The club also attracts the likes of Dame Joan Collins, Priti Patel and David Beckham.

In July 2020, Amber Heard had dinner Oswald's with a group of friends during a court case with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Royals are now ready to accompany the King to his Coronation today - with crowds lining the streets of London after camping for days to get a good view of the procession.

The official ceremony begins at Westminster Abbey at 11am and at 2.30pm a flypast is scheduled above Buckingham Palace, which will be watched by senior royals on the balcony.
