The Green Party’s win in the Gorton and Denton by-election sends a “message of hope” to the country, Zack Polanski said after Hannah Spencer’s victory in the formerly safe seat for Labour.

Labour’s defeat, trailing in third behind the Greens and Nigel Farage’s Reform UK in the previously rock-solid Greater Manchester constituency, has piled pressure on Sir Keir Starmer’s party.
