The New York Jets have made a change at quarterback with their second overall draft selection from the 2021 class being benched following another dismal performance this past weekend.
Wilson has thrown just four touchdowns and five interceptions this season, and performed poorly in last weekend's loss to the New England Patriots when the Jets lose 10-3, as he threw for just 77 yards in a performance which he was heavily criticised. The Jets defence kept them in the game, which has been the story all season, but Wilson struggled to move the ball and would make a number of poor decisions.
Speaking after the game, Wilson infuriated a number of his teammates when he failed to take accountability for the loss. Wilson was asked if he feels he let the defence down, to which he bluntly responded: "no."
