YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has been detained by Delhi Police from his residence in Sector 56, Gurugram ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar over Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The police have stepped up preventive detentions and deployed their personnel at strategic locations to prevent protesters from reaching the protest site. Delhi Police said around 150 protesters had been detained so far.
