Youri Tielemans and Leicester City left in limbo with ‘no concrete offers yet’ despite Arsenal interest

Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed the club are yet to receive any offers for Youri Tielemans.

Into the final year of his contract at the King Power Stadium, the Belgian international has been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Brendan Rodgers is yet to add to his squad this summer and has recently claimed incomings remain on hold until players move on.

“Clearly, we have to do some business out before we can get players in,” said the former Liverpool boss.

“We just are not in the same position as some of the other clubs. Until that changes, I keep working with the players we have.

Arsenal have considered Tielemans this summer and Mikel Arteta has hinted the club are still on for recruits despite a busy window.

When asked specifically about the 25-year-old earlier this month, Arteta refused to be drawn on individual names.

Still, there has no meaningful movement and Tielemans has been involved in pre-season training, with both player and club seemingly left in limbo.

“It’s nothing,” said Srivaddhanaprabha at the King Power-funded artificial pitch in Thailand.

“There haven’t been any offers yet. There hasn’t been anything concrete or a proposition yet.”
