Murder mystery lovers can live out their dream this Halloween by taking over a Northumberland lakeside cottage to play a live action game of Cluedo.
From October 28 - 31, one lucky group of up to 16 friends will be able to stay at Rothley Lakehouse on the Wallington Estate in Northumberland as a "Cluedo Escape", launched to celebrate brand new board game Cluedo Escape: Treachery at Tudor Manor. And the best part is that the stay won't cost a penny.
Those who do get to stay at the idyllic lakeside retreat will have the new board game and a selection of Cluedo-themed props awaiting their arrival, in the hope of creating the ultimate murder mystery stay. The Lakehouse has six bedrooms, a kitchen, sitting room, drawing room, breakfast room and main kitchen - so there are plenty of places that a murder could be committed!

The new take on the classic board game aims to be a collaborative, escape room twist which champions teamwork. However, when guests have had their fill of Cluedo, they could also look for deer, owls and pheasants around the lake which was inspired by famed Northumberland-born landscape designer Lancelot "Capability" Brown or take a walk or cycle in the grounds of the National Trust Wallington Estate.
Nicola Fox-Haggarty, Commercial Director at Hasbro UK and Ireland, said: " Cluedo: Treachery at Tudor Mansion combines the best aspects of the classic murder mystery with the current trend for collaborative escape room inspired entertainment to create our most immersive whodunnit to date! We want people around the UK to experience it to its full this Halloween in locations that incarnate Mr Black’s famous country retreat."
Cluedo Escapes is said to offer the ultimate games night for murder mystery fans old and new set in three "mysterious" mansions throughout spooky season. As well as Northumberland's Rothley Lakehouse; stays at Grade I listed Manor House Horton Court in Gloucestershire, and Selworthy Farmhouse in Somerset are on offer.
To pre-register interest ahead of booking going live on October 10 at 12pm, visit the Cluedo Escapes website. The game is also available to buy for £17.99.
