Planning chiefs came under fire on Friday after giving the go-ahead for a hugely expanded Wimbledon tennis complex.

Thousands people objected to the proposals for nearly 40 new courts, including a third show court with a capacity of 8,000 seats and retractable roof, as well as designated north and south player hubs.
