Good news, all fans of Heated Rivalry: it’s now possible to live out your dreams of being on the show – by staying at one of its most iconic sets.
Heated Rivalry has become one of 2026’s hottest shows. Taking place mainly on the ice hockey rink, it tells the story of competing players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov (Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie) who fall in love and start a passionate affair – all in secret.
One of its most-talked about moments is when Shane invites Ilya over to his ‘cottage’ for a secret getaway. Ilya eventually accepts, and their stay marks the moment that the pair go from furtive trysts to something more like an actual romantic relationship. And good news: that cottage is now available to book on Airbnb.
That would be Barlochan Cottage, which is situated on the shores of Lake Muskoka in Ontario, Canada: 200km north of Toronto, and a two-hour drive from Toronto Pearson Airport. The space itself includes a home gym, floor to ceiling windows, and a huge open plan living space thanks to Trevor McIvor Architect, who designed it in the first place. Though the owner prefers to remain anonymous, they also worked “closely” with Airbnb to list the cottage online.
“We were not aware of how big [the show] would become once it was released,” Alisha Bishop – part of the firm – told the Architect’s Paper in January of the cottage’s sudden moment in the spotlight. Good news: she also confirmed that the cottage is “actually very difficult to spot from the lake”.

Guests will be able to book one of these four slots from 5pm on March 3, with the stay costing around $248.10 CAD per night – or £145 – though it hasn’t been confirmed how much it will cost to book afterwards. There’s also an Easter egg here for those who look closer: 24 and 81 are Shane and Ilya’s jersey numbers.
For a cottage that includes three bedrooms, a fire pit and 400m of private waterfront to watch the spectacular Muskoka sunsets, that sounds like a bargain. With a Heated Rivalry season two on the horizon as well, there’s no better time to indulge in a bit of fan service.
