One lucky beer lover will get paid to sample pints at country pubs while travelling around the UK. What's more, they'll get a motorhome to take on the journey in style.
Brit Stops, a community of small businesses, including pubs, breweries and vineyards that allow motorhome and campervan drivers to park overnight for free, is hiring the world’s first "Pint Chaser". Their task will be to design the "UK's Ultimate Pub Trail".
It will map some of the 750+ pubs in the Brit Stops community. And there will be no drinking or driving, with the Pint Chaser spending one night at each location.
Although Brit Stops hasn't given the salary for the role, it says it will cover a pint at each location and the successful applicant will receive a daily stipend for the trip. They will also get a fully decked out motorhome for the journey - or an additional stipend for those who already own one.
Applicants must be over 18 with a valid UK driver’s license and be able to drive a motorhome. They should also be able to show evidence of their love of pubs - with images and videos highly recommended.
Brit Stops says: "This Pint Chaser will forge a new path as Brit Stops’ lead road trip architect with the sole mission of visiting the more than 750 pub locations, while designing the most epic beverage journey across the UK. That’s right, we will pay you to visit pubs, drink beer, and camp out in a fully functioning motorhome or campervan.
"The Pint Chaser will spend one night at each location after sampling a selection of ales and grub (no drinking and driving!) and capture the unique experience of travelling with Brit Stops, leaving a review for each location, documenting their trip on social media, and designing the best route for future travellers."
