Five members of one Rock County household are being investigated as probable measles cases, and health officials say the family has no known connection to the large outbreak in southwestern Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) said the five cases are linked to one another, but the source of the infection is still under investigation.
The cases are considered probable because the family members have symptoms consistent with measles, but laboratory testing has not yet confirmed the virus. Officials said the illnesses were confined to the one household as of Tuesday afternoon, according to WBAY.
