Amazon has announced a second Prime Day of the year for the first time ever but the deals have already started.
The retailer has confirmed a second Prime Day for mid-October, just a month before it is expected to launch even bigger discounts during Black Friday on 25 November, where tens of thousands of items are reduced in time for Christmas.
The deals have started weeks before the scheduled sales events dates and shoppers who visit the Amazon deals section can get the Amazon Echo Dot device for its cheapest price ever, as well as discounted Kindle, Fire Stick and even air fryers in a flash sale on Amazon devices and kitchen appliances.

The Amazon Echo Dot fourth generation, the latest and most advanced model of Amazon's smart home hub, has been reduced to just £19.99 in the sale - a price matching that of the cheapest price of Amazon's Black Friday sale last year. The previous third generation device has been reduced to £16.99 in the same sale.
The Echo Dot fourth generation can be bought for just £9.99 after cashback using an online deal, making it the cheapest you can buy it anywhere online.
Topcashback is offering Amazon shoppers £10 in cashback when they spend £10 or more on Amazon devices including the Echo Dot. New members can sign up here and get the fourth generation Amazon Echo Dot for £9.99 after cashback as part of the latest deal.
The sale is not just on Echo Dot devices. The Amazon Fire Stick 4K, the most up-to-date version of the device that lets you stream services on any smart TV, is down from £50 to under £30, while the Fire Tablet has been reduced by up to 56% in the sale.
Amazon has also cut the price of the Pro Breeze digital air fryer from £90 to £65. Air fryers are expected to be the most discounted items of Black Friday and air fryer deals will be some of the most popular options for shoppers.
