A new demo for Yooka-Replaylee titled Glitterglaze Glacier showcased the remake's various changes and new features.

The remaster is making its way soon to the Nintendo Switch and the game's development team at Playtonic have shared new information about what fans can expect.

Game director Gavin Price talked about the latest demo and discussed the various changes to this particular level.

Prince also went on to talk about the different changes they made to the remaster since the release of the demo. One of these is a new color for Coinelius' coins. The helpful piggy bank and new character edition has been given a major change.

Quills now come in a variety of colors after giving up their golden coat to Coinelius' coins. They have become level-specific to which one the player is currently in.

The developer apparently made this change because the crafty salesman Trowzer just got pickier in recent times, according to Nintendo Life.

Another change in the remaster is that Trowzer now has new wares for sale as the character's role is fundamentally different in Yooka-Replaylee. The developer has so far not revealed what these new items are.

A major change in Yooka-Replaylee is that the game now gives players access to all moves from the start. This means that the full arsenal of Yooka and Laylee's moves can be accessed right from the get-go.

The latest Glitterglaze Glacier demo features roughly an hour of gameplay footage and showcased the remaster's upgraded visuals, My Nintendo News said.

Various Changes and New Features

The game is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo consoles. The latter has not been specified whether or not it would be the currently existing Nintendo console or the upcoming device.

Playtonic is expected to share more details about Yooka-Replaylee's release date sometime in the near future. The game is the definitive remastered and enhanced version of the classic 3D indie platformer collectathon title.

The remaster will have new remixed challenges as well as bring back classic favorites as players explore massive open worlds. Another major change in Yooka-Replaylee is that there is now a map, which contributes to a better gaming experience.

The game's story has antagonist Capital B going on a quest to steal all of the books of the world and convert them into money.

The most powerful book in the world is hidden right under his nose in Shipwreck Creek, which is home to Yooka and Laylee, according to Final Weapon.
