Yellowstone has recently unveiled the first images from the highly anticipated back half of its fifth season. The released photos feature key characters such as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler, Kayce Dutton, Jaime Dutton, and Thomas Rainwater. Notably absent from the images is Kevin Costner, who portrayed patriarch John Dutton and decided to exit the show after the fifth season hiatus to focus on his Horizon film saga. Despite his departure from the on-screen role, Costner remains an executive producer of the series.
In a statement to Hollywood Reporter, Costner expressed his gratitude towards the fans and emphasized his commitment to creating meaningful content for them. He clarified that his decision to leave Yellowstone was a necessary step to move forward creatively.
