Ella Purnell, best known for her role on Yellowjackets, was just cast in the Fallout TV series.
According to Deadline, Purnell is reportedly headlining the silver screen adaptation of Bethesda’s post-apologetic RPG, with her character’s name allegedly being Jean. Like most aspects of the Fallout TV show, concrete details are noticeably sparse (aside from the teaser trailer below). Probably because the series isn’t even entering production until this fall.
Fallout isn’t Purnell’s first foray into the world of video game adaptations. Last fall, the actress played Jinx in Arcane: League of Legends, a role that would later net her an Annie Award for best voice acting.

Purnell’s other notable projects include Army of the Dead, Sweetbitter, Maleficent, Kick Ass, and Star Trek Prodigy. So she’s no stranger to the limelight, that’s for sure.
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Westworld fame are behind the Fallout TV series. With Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner of Captain Marvel and Silicon Valley fame respectively undertaking showrunner duties. Bethesda’s Todd Howard and James Altman will also take on executive producer duties.
