THE Met Office has issued a fresh yellow weather warning for snow in parts of Scotland as Storm Darragh approaches.
The forecaster has issued a warning for snow across central Scotland which covers the likes of Stirling as well as parts of the Highlands such as Aviemore.
It warned that snow is expected to “bring difficult driving conditions and disruption to higher routes”.
The warning will be in place from 8pm on Friday, December 6 and last until 9am on Saturday morning.
“Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services,” the Met Office said.
Flood alerts have also been issued by Sepa in the following areas:
- Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City
- Argyll and Bute
- Ayrshire and Arran
- Central
- Dumfries and Galloway
- Dundee and Angus
- Edinburgh and Lothians
- Fife
- Scottish Borders
- Tayside
- West Central Scotland
An amber warning for wind was previously issued for parts of southern Scotland, which will be in place from 3am on Saturday until 9pm the same day.
