Xi Jinping says China, US should be 'partners rather than rivals'

Chinese President Xi Jinping received a rare planeside welcome from US President Donald Trump in Washington on Thursday, following which he affirmed that the two nations should be 'partners rather than rivals'.

Xi also noted that he looks forward to discussing 'global situation' with Trump, as quoted by AFP.
