Xbox had some major restructuring in the leadership positions this year, with Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond leaving the company and Asha Sharma being appointed as the CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
She has been under heavy scrutiny from the whole gaming world, but so far, the things she has been saying make a lot of sense.
March 26 was the date of the first Xbox Partner Preview under her leadership. The headliners for the showcase were The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, Owlcat’s Mass Effect-style action RPG set in the Expanse universe, Stranger Than Heaven, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s ultra-violent action beat-em-up, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s upcoming DLC.
Fortunately, the reveal contained quite a lot more interesting projects, like Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, The Eternal Life of Goldman, Alien Deathstorm, and Artificial Detective.

As always, Xbox published follow-up Xbox Wire articles to accompany these announcements, as the trailers themselves don’t always contain all the relevant information from the developers.
Most of the showcased projects are slated to come out either this year or in very early 2027, but the developers of some of the bigger titles were quite tight-lipped with the reveals, opting for a release window or even just giving us a year.
Whatever the case, if none of these games face any major delays or cancellations, like the recently revealed Gang of Dragon, then we may have an amazing year of gaming on Xbox ahead of us.
