Xbox Lets Players Claim Digital Licences From Physical Games as Sony Plans To Phase Out New Game Discs

Xbox officially rolled out its Disc to Digital programme to all players on Wednesday, 30 September, letting owners of eligible physical games claim a digital licence at no extra cost.

Once claimed, players can download and play the digital version without repeatedly inserting the disc. However, the digital entitlement remains tied to the physical copy.
