Stars from The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent will headline a huge night at Ayr's Gaiety this month.
The iconic theatre will play host to a one-off variety show featuring the likes of Ben Haenow and Edward Reid.
Haenow was crowned winner of the X Factor in 2014, while Reid shot to fame in the 2011 series of Britain's Got Talent.
Comedian and TV host, Des Clarke, is another on the stacked card which features a range of acts.
Promoters hope the cast will be something of a throwback to the legendary Gaiety Whirl days which drew summer audiences from far and wide.
Edd Holloway, who is staging the 'Big Night Out' event, told Ayrshire Live: "There's nothing better than a good old-fashioned night of variety at your local theatre.
"We all know the history of the Gaiety Whirl and with this show, we're bringing that somewhat up to date. A lot of the acts appearing here will be known to younger audiences.
"The Gaiety is a fantastic place and we want her to be around for many more decades to come.
"Nights like this are what the future of the theatre is all about – putting on the best of variety and packing the venue out."
Also on the bill is vocal impressionist Gerry Anderson, illusionist Chris De Rosa, comedy magician Mandy Muden and Edinburgh Fringe stars 'Men In Coats'.
Edd, who recent sold out the Gaiety with an 'Ayrshire Lads' night featuring the MacDonald Brothers, Jai McDowall and Jeremy Levif, added: "I'm passionate about theatre and entertainment in this part of the world.
"I think we have a lot going for us and in the Gaiety we have a fantastic canvas to put on shows like the Big Night Out.
"I'm sure the audience will be royally entertained and hopefully it can be the first of many such shows."
Tickets for the show on Saturday, August 20, are priced from £21 and available from the Gaiety box office on (01292) 288235 or at www.www.thegaiety.co.uk
