WWE star trolls Rangers-daft Drew McIntyre by wearing Celtic top

CM Punk proved to be Rangers-daft Drew McIntyre's ultimate nemesis on home soil.

And the WWE superstar rubbed salt into the wounds of the Ayrshireman by donning a Celtic top while speaking to the press last night.

Following Clash of the Castle showpiece at the Hydro on Saturday, CM Punk wore his new purchase from the Celtic megastore in a wind-up aimed at wrestling rival McIntyre, who is of course, a huge Rangers supporter.

McIntyre, 39, was home for the main event at the huge Glasgow event as he faced off against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.

In a shocking twist though, Punk - who is currently injured - turned up unannounced to the ring to cost McIntyre his glory moment in Scotland.

He entered the ring wearing a traditional black and white referee jersey and began to count as McIntyre pinned his opponent.

However, after two, he refused to count the pinfall to three as he held two fingers up at Drew.

The pair engaged with each other, with Punk delivering a low blow to an angry McIntyre, which ultimately then allowed Priest to claim victory.

A short while after the contentious drama at the Hydro, Celtic took full advantage of the moment by congratulating their newest high-profile fan.

Re-posting the clip of Punk costing McIntyre the title, the official Hoops X account wrote: "@CMPunk, thank you."

And after the event, while addressing the media wearing a Celtic pullover, Punk said: "I think Scotland loves me. I do, I really do.

"Maybe the biggest guy from Scotland doesn't like me but I think people in Scotland are generally happy to see me."

Punk produced a massive box of doughnuts as he spoke to the media.

And it was clearly hungry work as he dusted off the delicious treats.
