Wu-Tang Clan are undeniably one of the greatest musical groups of all time. Their searing 1993 debut album 36 Chambers introduced hip-hop to a whole new audience without sanding down any of the rough edges that made the genre so brilliant. 1997’s Wu-Tang Forever further solidified their position as rap gods while a string of successful solo projects from the group’s nine members only added to their growing legend.
However, a few years ago RZA felt like Wu-Tang Clan’s impressive legacy was getting dusty so set about reminding people where the hip-hop heavyweights had come from, and what they could still achieve. Emmy-nominated documentary Of Mics And Men came in 2019 alongside the first of three seasons of acclaimed biopic An American Saga. They kicked off an ambitious farewell tour Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber last June.
