Kelly Clarkson Slams Brooklyn Store Clerk Who Allegedly Used a 'Condescending Tone' Over $15,000 Item

Kelly Clarkson has accused a Brooklyn store clerk of using a condescending tone over a US$15,000 (£11,330) singing bird, as Art of Play disputes her account (Credit: Kelly Clarkson/Instagram)

Kelly Clarkson has accused Brooklyn boutique Art of Play of misrepresenting a conversation about a US$15,000 (£11,330) singing bird, disputing the store's claim that the display item was never for sale. The disagreement began after the singer described an allegedly condescending interaction during a visit to the shop on 10 October 2026.

For context, Clarkson first complained on X that she had travelled to Brooklyn intending to buy things from the store, which sells toys, books and home goods. She said she was made to feel as though she could not afford what she wanted, and that an employee offered to find something comparable.
