Lionesses winger Katie Robinson is attracting interest from clubs in the USA after it was announced that she would be leaving Brighton this summer.
Robinson, who was part of the England squad that reached the final of last year’s World Cup, has been with Brighton for four years but leaves as a free agent after her contract expired.
The 21-year-old has been tipped for a big future in the game and her availability has seen her catch the attention of clubs in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
A number of England players have recently caught the eye of clubs in the USA, with Manchester City defender Esme Morgan set to join Washington Spirit.
Robinson enjoyed an impressive stint with Brighton after joining the club in 2020 from Bristol City. The winger made 69 appearances for the Seagulls and scored 10 goals.
She made her England debut in November 2022 and was part of the squad who made the the final of last year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Zoe Johnson, Brighton’s managing director of women’s and girls’ football, said: “Katie has played a key role in the club’s development in the WSL over the last few seasons and contributed significantly both on and off the pitch. We wish her all the best for the future.”
