Greene King has announced a free drink is in store for those who share a surname with a player in either the England football team or the Wales football team, during certain World Cup matches.
The pub chain will offer football fans a free pint, a bottle of Ice Breaker Pale Ale, or a soft drink alternative during the home nations group stages of the tournament.

How to claim a free drink at Greene King
If you share a surname with any player from the England team or Wales team, you can bag yourself a free drink.
The players’ surnames are the following: Hennessey, Ward, Davies, Cabango, Lockyer, Rodon, Mepham, Ampadu, Gunter, Williams, Roberts, Thomas, Allen, Smith, Levitt, Wilson, Morrell, Williams, Ramsey, Colwill, Bale, Moore, Harris, Johnson, James, Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale, Alexander-Arnold, Coady, Dier, Maguire, Shaw, Stones, Trippier, Walker, White, Bellingham, Gallagher, Henderson, Mount, Phillips, Rice, Foden, Grealish, Kane, Maddison, Rashford, Saka, Sterling, Wilson.
To claim your free drink to celebrate the beautiful game, customers will need to bring a valid, in-date photo ID at any of the 800 participating pubs. The offer is available in England and Wales with only one drink per person, while stocks last, and you must be 18 or over to participate.
