The workers who keep Floriade tidy are set to take industrial action from Tuesday. Much of the basic maintenance needed after each day's tens of thousands of visitors will be left undone.
Dangerous objects like syringes and broken glass will be cleared but items like debris in ponds will remain. Parts of Commonwealth Park may look dirtier, with path debris and material around the ponds building up.
