A worker has been awarded more than $750,000 after falling through an uncovered skylight at a construction site at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
The worker successfully sued his former employer, scaffolding firm ACT Height Safety Pty Ltd, following the accident on August 14, 2023.
Because the employer was uninsured and later went into liquidation, the ACT Workers' Compensation Default Insurance Fund stepped in to defend the claim.
