Work to create flagship office space in the centre of Leeds has reached its first major milestone.
Contractors in charge of developing the 140,000 sq ft City Square House, next to Leeds train station, have erected its first tower crane, reports Business Live.
The build is being driven forward by developers MRP with McAleer & Rushe appointed to oversee construction, which began in May last year.

The building is expected to be completed next summer with its opening date set to coincide with the completion of the public realm improvement works at City Square.

A deal to take 83,000 sq ft of prime office space at City Square House has already been signed by leading global firm DLA Piper.
The deal is thought to be the largest private sector pre-let deal in Leeds in the past 20 years.
Eamon Fox, partner and head office agency at Knight Frank in Leeds, who is advising MRP, said it was "tremendous to see this flagship building slowly taking shape".
He described City Square House as "the iconic new office development that the Leeds market has been waiting for" and added its creation underlined that "Leeds is now one of the most flourishing regional cities in Europe".
Angus Montieth, development director at MRP, said the building would "quickly take shape" during the course of the year".
