Won’t back units flouting pollution norms: Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry

AHMEDABAD: The new team that took charge of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) on Sunday said that it will focus on new age businesses and startups and refrain from making representations for units flouting pollution norms and acting irresponsibly. State industries minister Jagdish Vishwakarma said that the GCCI and the industry should think about what they plan to give to the future generations.

He also said that the GCCI should check the feasibility of a cooperative model in the industry and bring in fresh talent. Pathik Patwari is the second youngest president of the apex trade and industry body of the state while Ajay Patel is its senior vice president and Yogesh Parikh, the vice-president.
