Women presenting with autoimmune conditions that trigger symptoms such as fatigue, muscle pain and rashes are significantly more likely to have their illness attributed to psychological causes, according to a new study.
Analysis further indicates that female patients also endure longer delays in receiving a formal diagnosis when compared with men.
