Women follow Las Vegas woman from Five Below into Dollar Tree. Then she hears them start talking about her: ‘Over a quick glance?’

A woman has gone viral after sharing how she was targeted by a group in Five Below, who then proceeded to follow her into Dollar Tree.

In the viral clip, which has amassed 396,100 views, Jazzy Lynn (@jazzyjaylyn) is behind the camera as a group of women mock her appearance, with one calling her “ugly as [expletive].”

As the trio continued to hurl insults at her, including some about her ponytail, Lynn repeatedly asked them why they followed her into the store.

She shared the full story in the video description: “These RATCHET [expletive] followed me from Five Below to Dollar Tree. I DON’T KNOW THEM AT ALL.”

She continued, “I went into Five Below to grab a few things and they were loud ASF. I glanced over, and one of them said, ‘What is she looking at?’ I go to Dollar Tree, and that’s where I get pepper-sprayed and socked in the eye. They vandalized my car and took my slides. If anybody has info about who these hoodrats are, let me know.”

The TikToker made several follow-ups

In a follow-up storytime, Lynn provided additional details. After glancing at the women who were loud in Five Below, Lynn says she was followed into Dollar Tree, where the women began insulting her. This was the footage that initially went viral, but things got worse off-camera. As well as being “socked” in the eye, Lynn, whose right eye looks pink and tender in the video, says she was pepper-sprayed, had her shoes stolen, and had her car vandalised.

As all this was happening, two women ran out of the store to check whether Lynn was OK. In response, one of the women tried to run this Good Samaritan over with her car.

Lynn then made five videos in response to various comments on her post. Highlights include agreeing that she should carry in the future, explaining that she didn’t call 911 because she didn’t expect it to escalate, and confirming that she was planning to press charges.

In a final video related to the incident, Lynn insisted that she wasn’t “beaten up.” Summing up the altercation, she said, “All of this over a glance, you guys. A glance. Glancing and making eye contact with someone is a normal thing to do. I am human.”

What did commenters say?

Commenters jumped to Lynn’s defence. “Alright TikTok detectives, let’s get to work,” one wrote.

“The question is, does anyone recognize them?” a second concurred.

“I hate this for you,” a third added. “I think they came after you because you are very classy looking and they are clearly the opposite.”

A fourth noted, “Making fun of a ponytail saying because she’s an adult is crazy.”

While a fifth admitted, “This makes me so mad LOL.”

Lynn didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment and Instagram message.

Harassment on a hiking trail

These days, the knee-jerk reaction to being harassed is to record the ordeal. In a viral video, TikToker Alejandra Ramos (@alejandraramos794) went hiking with her friend. On her hiking trail, she recorded how a man was “conducting a survey” and asking her strange questions like whether she’s a “daddy’s girl.”

“You’re a freak,” Ramos said in response. “You’re disgusting. Go to therapy, man.”

While the identity of this man wasn’t exposed, recording incidents like verbal/physical altercations and harassment is arguably important for two reasons. It not only publicly shames the person in question, but it can also be used as evidence if the victim wants to take it further.
