Woman whose body found in South Fremantle harbour identified as Helen Solomon Marsuk

A young woman whose body was found in a harbour off South Fremantle has been identified as 25-year-old Koongamia woman Helen Jeremy Solomon Marsuk.

Ms Marsuk's remains were found by a member of the public in the early hours of December 4, in water near the groyne on Cape D'Orlando Drive.

The area is a busy harbour and the launch place for charter boats and near the Fremantle Sailing Club.

Homicide detectives have said the circumstances in which her body was found raised "significant concerns".

Detectives are working to establish a timeline of Ms Marsuk's movements between November 30 and December 4.

They believe Ms Marsuk was near Oats Street in Carlisle on Wednesday, November 30.

She was wearing a pink dress and carrying a handbag. She is described as having short, dark hair and dark skin, a slim build.

Police say she was 152 centimetres tall.

They are calling on anyone with who may have seen Ms Marsuk or know her whereabouts in the days leading up to her death to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
