Woman 'too embarrassed' by symptoms to get help diagnosed with chronic illness

A model who was once embarrassed to talk about her symptoms is now helping to raise awareness for chronic illnesses.

Megan McNeill was just 17 when noticed she was passing blood when she went to the bathroom and was suffering from spells of diarrhoea, but felt too self-conscious to tell her mum.

However, after her symptoms worsened and she began experiencing severe fatigue and weight loss, the Lisburn teen made an appointment with her GP, who sent her straight to A&E.
