A woman was taken to hospital following a horror crash involving a truck and bicycle in Co Kildare.
The cyclist, in her 40s, is understood to have sustained serious injuries after the collision on Shackleton Road, Celbridge this morning. The road has been sealed off by the gardai who are investigating the incident.
The woman was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. A garda spokesman said: "The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

"Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to them.
