Woman who 'slapped Jet2 plane passenger' screams in worker's face before being ejected

This is the shocking moment an irate woman screams in the face of Jet2 flight staff and slaps a fellow passenger after her "foul behaviour" lead staff to chuck her from the plane.

The young woman, who is thought to be from the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire, paces up and down the aisle, screams and shouts at staff on the flight that was meant to fly straight from Manchester Airport straight to Antalya, in Turkey.

The plane had to be diverted after she became 'disruptive' and reportedly slapped other passengers.

One female passenger on board has told The Mirror how her young daughter was left "traumatised" by the woman's "foul behaviour" and fighting.

The Jet2 flight to Antalya left Manchester at around 9.15am on Monday and was due to arrive in Turkey around four and a half hours later.

It was diverted to Vienna and landed there around 11.40am, reports the Manchester Evening News (MEN).

In the video, the irate passenger is seen screaming in the face of a uniformed staff member at the front of the plane.

As other flight staff gather around her to aid their colleague, it looks as though she lashes out with her hands against someone seated in the first row.

A member of staff can be seen telling her to 'stand back', to which she replies: "I am back. Sort your head out you." The airline worker says: "You are not doing yourself any favours."

She replies: "Your'e not doing yourself any favours either. So what have I done? Don't touch me, don't ****ing touch me." She adds: "What have I done? What have I done wrong on this flight, eh? See, you haven't got an answer."

Another passenger, who asked only to be named by her first name, Emma, told The Mirror it was about 40 minutes into the flight when the disruption started.

She said: "The flight attendant was trying to calm her down.

"She was being really loud and arguing with the passenger in front of her. That went on for about 40 minutes.

"They gave her notice that any more trouble and further action would be taken and were telling her 'we're not here to be horrible to anybody'.

"She was not having any of it. She was aggressive and swearing, it was not a nice experience.

"You didn't dare look at her.

"At one point I walked down the aisle to go to the toilet with my little girl and she said 'what the f*** are you looking at? Go on, have a f***ing look all of you.'"

Emma said the ‘disruptive’ passenger was “ranting and raving”.

She said people made her her aware there were children on board when she was “shouting and swearing” but she “retaliated” and swore more.

“She lunged forward and slapped a woman around the face,” Emma added.

“A guy got up and calmed her down, who I think had just qualified as a police officer.

“It was announced on the tannoy we were making an emergency landing. We landed in Vienna and stayed for about 50 minutes.

“The flight was a nightmare from start to finish.

“I was frightened. My daughter was panicking.

“Nobody wanted to intervene because they didn’t want to get in trouble”.

A witness on the flight said: "This was a truly horrible flight for myself and my 2 children.

"My little girl was traumatised at the lady's foul behaviour fighting and shouting and swearing.

"She's now refusing to fly home due to this it scared her so much."

A man can be seen shaking his head at the woman's behaviour. Another video clip appears to show the moment armed police officers escorted the woman from the plane.

One passenger can be heard to shout: "Wait til you get the bill love." Others are shouting "bye bye" as the woman is led away by armed officers.

A text sent by Jet2 to passengers onboard the flight shortly before 12pm said: "Hello, we are sorry that due to the disruptive behaviour of a fellow passenger, your flight has been diverted to Vienna. We are working on a situation to get you on your way as soon as possible."

The flight arrived at its original destination, Antalya, just after 3pm - one hour and 15 minutes later than scheduled.

A Jet2 spokesperson said: “We can confirm that flight LS895 from Manchester to Antalya diverted to Vienna yesterday so that a disruptive passenger could be offloaded.

"As a family friendly airline, we take a zero tolerance approach to disruptive behaviour.”
