A woman's body has been found on an East Lothian beach.
Police Scotland raced to Gullane Beach at around 7.50am on Thursday morning after receiving reports of the devastating incident.
Emergency services raced to the East Lothian beauty spot and are currently at the scene.
Police have also launched a major investigation to establish the identity and circumstances behind the death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50 am on Thursday, 15 December 2022 police received a report that a body of a woman had been found on the beach at Gullane.

They added: "Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
