Woman mortified after changing her name on her phone - not realising others could see it

A woman has been left red-faced after a massive blunder with her iPhone - as she didn't realise that everybody could see what she'd chosen to 're-name' herself.

When she was younger, Emily Jade, who posts on TikTok as @emiiyjade, thought it would be funny to reinvent herself. She gave herself a whole new moniker on her phone - believing that she was the only person who would be able to see it.

Sadly, this wasn't the case, and unbeknownst to her, she'd been sending emails from 'Toenail Clipping', and she only realised when she happened to be scrolling through her sent emails on a whim.

In the hilarious video, Emily explained that she was scrolling through her emails, looking at messages she'd sent in the past, when she 'realised it said Toenail Clipping'.

She said that emails she'd sent to herself were coming up with that name, so she decided to investigate on her laptop, as she has an iPhone and a MacBook.

She was horrified to learn that her name on her laptop was indeed Toenail Clipping - and it's left people in stitches.

Emily said: "All this time when I've been emailing people from my personal email, it has been saying it's from Toenail Clipping."

She then checked her Google accounts - and her unusual moniker remained there.

"It's actually becoming a little bit of a joke now and I think I'll have to change my name to Toenail Clipping.

She said she was 'actually going to cry' because of 'the fact that I've had toenail clipping as my name for years but ignored it thinking I was the only one who could see it'.

People found the video side-splitting, with one user writing: "The fact that no one ever brought it up. They just accepted it!"

"I did this too and my name was Christmas leftovers…and I used it to apply for my last job", someone sympathised.

Another had a similar story, joking: "I had this exact thing! It was linked to my Google home. All mine thought my name was 'world's best mashed potato'."
