A woman who ended up trapped on the roof of her apartment building was able to think up an ingenious plan to get back down again - all by using her Uber Eats app.
The quick-thinking woman, whose name is Maggie, says nobody was available to help rescue her from the rooftop and so she ordered herself a takeaway via Uber Eats, leaving very specific instructions for the accidentally heroic delivery man.
In a now-viral video shared via TikTok, Maggie, who lives in New York, explained: "I got locked on my roof and no one is available to come to help me out, so I ordered Uber Eats."
She continued: "I put in the instructions that you just have to buzz every apartment until someone lets you in and then come up to the roof to let me out".
Footage taken atop Maggie's rooftop prison shows her greeting delivery driver Jeffrey as he delivers her food, declaring him to be her "king".
The vid concludes with Maggie, who goes by the username @voss_maggie, enjoying a tasty burrito in the comfort of her apartment, free to roam once more.
As Maggie put it: "Safe in my apartment plus I have a burrito now. I call that a win."
In the caption of the clip, which has clocked up 1.1 million likes and counting, Maggie hailed her valiant knight Jeffrey's service as "the best Uber Eats delivery in Manhattan", adding that she made sure to give him a well-deserved "five stars and a good tip".
Clever Maggie has since been praised as a "resourceful queen" by admiring TikTok followers, one of whom remarked that she possessed "CIA levels of problem-solving" abilities.
A second individual wrote: "Just use this as your resume. Hired! 'Keen problem-solving abilities', 'remains calm under pressure', "multitasker'."
A third applauded: "One of the top minds of our generation."
