Woman hospitalised after crash on busy Falkirk road as driver flees scene

A woman's been left injured after a crash in Falkirk.

The accident happened on Callander Road near to Graeme High School at around 2:55pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday January 19.

The driver other driver failed to stop.

Pictures shared with Falkirk Live show extensive damage to the woman's car. The vehicle is believed to be a write off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 2.55pm on Wednesday, 19 January, 2022, following the report of a hit and run involving two vehicles on Callendar Road in Falkirk.

"Officers attended and spoke with the female driver of one of the vehicles.

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the other driver."
