A woman has divided the internet with a 'genius' buttering hack that she claims makes Lurpack easier to spread.
Teresa Basquine launched a TikTok account last year so she could post cooking content and her follow count continued to grow.
The 47-year-old, from Cambridge, gained even more attention when she posted a clip of her using a spoon to butter a roll for partner Mark Read, 51.
Social media users were left baffled at her choice to ditch a knife in favour of a spoon, Wales Online reports.
But others labelled the hack a "game-changer" and said they would be giving it a go.
Full-time nanny Teresa said: "It's gone crazy, ever since I've been doing it people have commented. My mum said I used to do it as a child.
"Nobody ever taught me and I don't really know anyone else who does it, but I've always used a spoon. It just stops the bread or crackers breaking compared to using a knife!"
While her followers were gobsmacked at the choice, Teresa knows no different and says she has always done it because it is "easier" than using a knife.
One person commented: "A SPOON?"
While another added: "But why with a spoon, I've never seen it before."
And a third wrote: "Why do you use a spoon to spread things and not a knife the normal way?"
Other users called Teresa a "genius" and said they would be adopting the "mind blowing" hack.
One said: "Butter on the spoon!!! Wow game changer!"
A second wrote: "Never in my life have I seen someone spread butter with a spoon. It puts my butter knife to shame."
Another commented: "Never in my life have I seen someone spread butter with a spoon. It puts my butter knife to shame."
