A woman from the Republic of Ireland had her accommodation in Northern Ireland cancelled last weekend 'due to being Catholic.'

The woman, named Cliona, told RTE Radio 1's Liveline show she and her partner were travelling to Northern Ireland last Friday to celebrate her birthday by going on a short hiking trip.

Needing somewhere to stay on their trip, they booked an Airbnb. The couple were "waiting a while" for their host to accept the reservation.
