MUMBAI: A 30-year-old woman, who hails from Bangladesh, managed to flee from the custody of the Mumbai's Sahar police station a day after she was arrested in a case of holding a fake Indian Passport on October 5. She had arrived in Mumbai from Bangladesh.
Apart from the cheating, forgery and Passport Act against the accused Kavita Shah (Alam Mia Begum) on November 5, another case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code section 224 (Resistance or obstruction by a person to his lawful apprehension) against her on November 6 after she fled away from the police custody.
