Police have launched a probe after a woman was found dead at a house in Dundee. Emergency services raced to the property on Strathmartine Road after the alarm was raised at around 3.10pm on Saturday, July 2.
Ambulance crews attended but the lady was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say the death is currently being treated as "unexplained". Their enquiries to establish the full circumstances are currently ongoing.
It's understood cops remain at the scene after arriving at the property yesterday afternoon. One worried local said: "There were a lot of police and an ambulance in the same place yesterday, then again more police arrived today."
Another added: "Police have been guarding the block all day." Officers say a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.10pm on Saturday, July 2, we were made aware of the death of a woman at a property in Strathmartine Road, Dundee.
"Officers attended and enquiries will be carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
