A woman has died following a horror crash in Perth and Kinross which has left two men and two children in hospital.
Emergency services raced to the A90 near Errol, after the alarm was raised at around 11.05am on Friday, August 12. The accident involved a black coloured Nissan Micra.
Ambulance crews attended but a 32-year-old female passenger died at the scene. The other four occupants - a 29-year old man, a 20-year-old man, a seven-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy - were rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
The road was closed for around six hours as police launched a full investigation into the collision. Officers in Tayside are now appealing for witnesses.
Police Sergeant Strachan of the Road Policing Unit said : “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time.
“We are conducting extensive enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.
“I would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out our investigation into this serious collision.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1349 of August 11.
