Health guru Michael Mosley created the 5:2 diet and has encouraged people to lead a healthier lifestyle through appearing on TV shows and documentarys.
The expert first introduced the diet in a documentary, Eat, Fast and Live Longer, in 2012. The diet consists of limiting calories to around 500 to 600 for two days of the week. The remaining five of seven days are routine food days.
In an updated version of the fasting diet, Fast 800, Michael has come up with a plan that sees users eat 800 calories a day. Wales Online Health Editor, Lydia Stephens has given the Fast 800 a go.
