Woman blasts selfish neighbour for 'monopolising' parking spots outside her home

A woman has blasted her 'selfish' neighbour for 'monopolising' parking spots outside her home. The woman claims her neighbour's 'tactical' parking method forces her to park further up the road, reports the Mirror.

The woman took to social media to share her parking problems and the details behind the ongoing dispute. Posting on Mumsnet, she believes it's unfair to strategically park in public parking spots when others are struggling to find a space.

The woman said: "Our neighbours have 2 adult sons at home so have 4 cars and only 2 spaces for parking. We have one space but 2 cars so use the space on the road outside our house.

"If someone is parked there then I just go to the end of the road and turn right - it's a walk past 6 terraced houses so not far and there's lots of space. Space outside our house doesn't belong to us so it's first come first serve so often next door's son parks there.

"All fine." The woman says her neighbour's don't afford her the same etiquette when it comes to parking as she gives them.

She added: "Now the bit that annoys me. They've recently begun strategic parking so if son goes out, they move their car from their garage to save the space.

"I find it really irritating that they're monopolising the space. I just think it's a selfish d**k move.

"I don't agonise over this but saw them doing their manoeuvres a few moments ago and wondered if it's a normal thing people do. I think I'd understand more if parking was significantly limited but there's lots at the end of the short road and this bit is a small cul de sac."

The mother's parking problems sparked a flurry of conversation on social media, with people quick to give their thoughts. Many felt the neighbour was in the wrong for their 'lazy' parking.

One person said: "Its [sad] just that your neighbours are too lazy to walk a few feet from the other parking spaces, seems quite common these days." Meanwhile, others shared similar experiences that they have had with bad parkers.

Another person said: "Massive d**k move. I had a neighbour like this who would always park on the road outside his house and leave his driveway empty???

"Someone else has moved in further up the road and does the same. I don't get it."

However, some people opted to telling them woman to try and take the moral high ground. One user said: "Yes of course they're being d***s. There are some people up our road who do this.

"I think you should just ignore it, don't get drawn into a petty parking row. Consider yourself above it and laugh about them behind their backs."
