Woman accused of stealing sick neighbor’s electricity and racking his bill up by thousands

  • An Indiana woman, Tina Milburn, 50, has been accused of stealing electricity from her neighbor, Charles Lowe, a veteran and cancer survivor.
  • Milburn allegedly used an extension cord from Lowe's trailer to power her own, resulting in thousands of dollars in excessive electricity bills for him over several months.
  • Lowe's roommate discovered the theft, and Milburn reportedly admitted to plugging in the extension cord under his trailer.
  • Lowe, who is battling cancer and COPD, expressed distress over the financial burden and the alleged theft, stating he still has to pay the bills but has a payment plan with CenterPoint Energy.
  • Milburn has been charged with burglary and was held at Vanderburgh County Jail on a $500 bond, with her initial hearing scheduled for Monday.
